What you will learn:

Dave Espie will bring us up to date on National Security Issues as they relate to South Carolina and then introduce us to the organization InfraGard.  InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. InfraGard Chapters are geographically linked with FBI Field Office territories. Learn More about InfraGard Additionally, the FBI Cyber Squad will update us on its activities.

I stumbled across a great site that can help you save time on your audit or risk management projects. Now, you may have already heard of this site but for those who are not aware…you may want to check it out. It is stock-piled with useful tools such as work programs, guides, checklists, questionnaires, etc. This may be the site for you if you do not want to reinvent the wheel. This is a subscription based site but you can currently sign up for a 30 day free trial to poke around. As the site states, it will help internal auditors and risk management professionals save time, manage risk, and add value.
